Where did you receive your education?
Texas Tech University.
How has your education played a role in your life today?
Education has helped me to advance in my life because I have college and high school diplomas. Both of these have helped me to be able to adjust to whatever challenges I faced.
What was your greatest educational challenge and how did you overcome it?
In college, I was working and going to school at the same time. I had to learn how to prioritize and be a better time manager.
What is the value of your education?
It has helped provide me and my family with a better quality of life that I know would not have been possible without it.
What would you say to someone who's undecided about continuing their education?
I would tell them that continuing their education is the best investment for their future. Not only does it help them with future earnings, but it helps them with their own self-worth.
When did you make education a priority?
I made education a priority when I was in college. That's when I began to understand what continuing my education could do for my life.
What made you realize the importance of education in your life?
I realized the importance of education after a couple of setbacks, because having an education enabled me to find a better position to advance my career.
Did you ever think about quitting? What made you keep going?
I never thought about quitting, even though there were some tough times. When you're working and going to school at the same time, sometimes you wonder if it's worth it. In my opinion, it is worth putting out the effort to continue your education, because even after you leave school, in order to grow your career, you have to keep learning, and the lessons you learned in the past help you to shape your future.
